Adam Anderson, Managing General Partner: As noted before, Adam and an extensive track record of working with Cybersecurity startups and getting them investment-ready. Adam’s role in the fund is that of Sourcing, Networking, and Brand-Building. This will be done through attending events and conferences, publishing content online, and speaking with others in the industry, such as lawyers, bankers, and centers of influence inside the cybersecurity community who work with startups. Adam will also manage the internal team to make sure all roles have the support they need for execution.
Bruce Smalls: Fundraising and LP Relations – Bruce is a “Super Connector” and a global thought leader on technology in emerging markets. His role is to helping the firm raise new funds, reporting to existing Limited Partners (LPs), and finding new investors for future funds.
Joshua Sharp, Compliance and Operations Manager: With a background in private equity fund management, Joshua’s primary responsibilities are providing continuous access to accurate information for all participants and ensuring a durable, accountable, system for operations. Interfacing with regulators and partners in investor relations, accounting/legal, and IT, Joshua ensures firm matters are handled. He oversees our infrastructure and processes for compliance with a range of regulatory agencies spanning three continents. His familiarity with the needs of international investors and tax planning underlines his work.
Jonathan Bates: Deal Execution – Jonathan is a retired US military EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal). Jonathan is responsible for conducting due diligence on potential startup investments, analyzing their markets and financial projections, and negotiating deal terms.
Will Beatty, Special Advisor: Will has over 25 years of business development and organizational leadership experience that includes private and non-profit consulting. Will also has extensive experience launching private and non-profit start-ups. His responsibilities have included developing and implementing marketing strategies, business expansion initiatives, human resources, and client relations.
Deepak Kingsley, Special Advisor & International Legal Liaison: Deepak has over 29 years of legal, management, and commercial experience. Deepak has overseen the legal departments of several large multinational companies and is experienced in managing diverse teams. Deepak is proven in both litigation & arbitration and has been instrumental in negotiating numerous commercially viable settlement agreements. His 29 years of business experience have helped him to build a wealth of international business connections.
Harry Zolides, Special Advisor: Harry was IBM Software Mergers & Acquisitions leader for Cybersecurity. He facilitated the acquisition and integration of newly acquired companies into IBM and participated in Due Diligence for target acquisition companies. Projects include Varicent, Kenexa, and CrossIdeas acquisitions. Harry will be advising on Portfolio Company Support. Helping portfolio companies with everything from recruiting to sales & marketing to engineering to fundraising and administrative and financial issues.
David Hyde-Volpe: Technology Validation – David has a broad science and technology background and has successfully launched a number of software, and cybersecurity companies. He specializes in the creation of value through technology IP and is the creator of RedPill, the first open-source quantitative cybersecurity risk simulation. David currently serves as the Chief Security Architect for Amber Group Ltd. and will assist in due diligence and post-investment engineering/technology support.
Key Technology Competencies: Programming, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, Quantum Computing, Penetration Testing, and Security Architecture.
Zach Eikenberry: Sourcing – Zach has extensive relationships with the top cybersecurity accelerators and is extremely active in the Cybersecurity Startup Community. His role will be to assist in finding new startups to invest in and making the initial outreach.
